Your Silverleaves puppy has been raised on a species appropriate diet of a mixture of raw and freeze/air dried foods.
We are advocates of feeding a species appropriate diet to our dogs.
Whilst it is a little more expensive short term a happier healthier dog will cost you less in the long run and make cleaning up poop a breeze! - less fillers and low quality ingredients means less waste! Win-win!
Currently your puppy’s diet looks like this:
AM - Frontier/K9 Naturals with a sprinkle of Prime100 Air dried
Lunch - Proudi/Barf patties/Vets all Natural and Raw mince
PM - Lyka/K9Naturals with a sprinkle of Prime100 Air dried
Your puppy has also tried chicken necks. We recommend bones at least once a week - think Chicken/turkey/duck necks, beef/lamb ribs, unboiled soup bones beef/lamb neck bones.
ABSOLUTELY NO BIG MARROW BONES OR COOKED BONES!!!!
We have curated this diet as we believe it’s the easiest way of getting all the required nutrients in whilst keeping it simple! We believe in fresh food feeding where possible and there are options for all budgets! Our biggest piece of advice is keep the diet varied, add some fresh foods - apples, blueberries, carrots etc.
We generally follow the feeding guides on the packets, however use your intuition - too fat? feed less, too thin? Feed more - simple!
Our commercial food is usually sourced from online retailers, petcircle and budget pet products always seem to have a sale or two!
Here’s a few links for food we recommend. If all this seems a bit complicated please speak to us and we can work out a diet that works for you and your budget!

If your dog doesn't finish their meal or refuses to eat, remove the bowl after 5 minutes and re-serve at their next meal time
Dogs will not starve themselves. However, will learn that there is always something better on offer if you continually change their food
Only do this is you know your dog is otherwise healthy, active and their normal self. If they are lethargic, quieter than normal, vomiting or have diarrhoea and refuse to eat, please consult a vet
Do not allow a puppy to go without food for longer than 24 hours
