Guardian Programme

At Silverleaves Labradoodles, the health, happiness, and wellbeing of our dogs are our highest priorities. Our Guardian Programme allows our breeding dogs to enjoy life as cherished family pets while helping us continue our ethical breeding programme.

We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful Guardian families, who provide our dogs with the individual attention, love, and care they deserve. By placing our breeding dogs in carefully selected homes, we can ensure they grow up in a family environment and enjoy the best possible quality of life. We work closely with our Guardian families throughout the dog's breeding career to ensure they remain happy, healthy, and comfortable.

The dogs selected for our Guardian Programme are typically the pick of the litter and possess the exceptional temperament, structure, and health traits we wish to continue in future generations. As part of the programme, all required health testing is completed at the appropriate age and at our expense. Guardian families have the unique opportunity to welcome one of our most promising puppies into their home and become part of their breeding journey.

To participate in our Guardian Programme, families must live within approximately 30 minutes of Gisborne, Pascoe Vale South, or Pakenham. Guardian puppies are placed with a reduced holding fee compared to our standard pet puppy price, with this fee refunded progressively as the dog completes their agreed breeding commitments.

Once the dog has finished their breeding career, we will arrange and cover the cost of their desexing. They will then continue living with their Guardian family as a beloved companion for the rest of their life.
